Brick Rock

One of our quarries in Oklahoma produces all different types of Brick Rock. Brick Rock is stone that comes up in the quarry with natural cleft straight edges at right angles. The upper layers are a copper-gold color and tend to have a bit more texture. We call this Farmers Brick Rock. As we go deeper in the quarry, the rock smoothes out and comes up in longer strips. We sort it by size. The larger ones we call Brick Rock Builders. Still deeper in the quarry, the brown begins to transition into blue; hence we have Blue-Brown Brick Rock. The Blue Brick Rock comes from the lower layers in the quarry. It will have deep blue, burgundy, charcoal, and black colors throughout the stone. All of these different layers and colors are also tumbled. This produces softens the tones of the Brick Rock and gives a beautiful look.
