Cantera Stone

Cantera means " quarry" in Spanish, and Adoquin is a particular type of stone, generally harder and rougher in appearance then regular Cantera stone.Geologically these stones are consolidated volcanic ash with a variety of secondary older rock materials from the surrounding area and laced with multi-colored pumice fragments. The stone group that it belongs to is Igneous-Sedimentary. The common forming mineral group is Siliceous. The composition is quartz and feldspars are the primary minerals with other accessory minerals. The hardness is medium to hard.
