DAY 1 USA/EN ROUTE: Depart the US on board an international airline carrier's overnight flight to France. All meals served on board, as well as complimentary beverages, movies and earphones for your travel comfort. DAY 2 TOULOUSE: Upon arrival and after customs formalities, meet the awaiting Intropa Tours escort and motorcoach. Continue into Toulouse for hotel check-in, dinner and overnight. DAY 3 TOULOUSE: Morning sightseeing in Toulouse which has a most prestigious and celebrated university and the largest Cathedral in all of France. DAY 4 TOULOUSE/CARCASSONE: Full day excursion to Carcassone, a perfect example of a walled medieval town used by the crusaders. DAY 5 TOULOUSE/CORDES/ALBI: Full day excursion to Cordes, the hill-top bastide of 1222 which was built during the Albigensian Crusade. DAY 6 TOULOUSE/DORDOGNE/SARLAT: Depart Toulouse for Sarlat via the lush Dordogne Valley famed for its medieval castles, fortified towns and prehistoric caves at Les Eyzies where Cro-Magnon man was discovered and made famous by the Jean Auel books such as Clan of the Cave Bear. DAY 7 SARLAT/BORDEAUX: Morning visit to the Lascaux II cave, a replica of the original cave discovered in 1940. Considered the Sistine Chapel of prehistoric times, the full-size replica has reproductions of many of the paintings. DAY 8 BORDEAUX/CHARTRES: Depart Bordeaux and travel to Chartres. Even though you think you have seen enough cathedrals for a lifetime, Chartres remains a must and is, without a doubt, the jewel of medieval cathedrals. DAY 9 CHARTRES/VERSAILLES/PARIS: Depart Chartres and travel to Versailles, the largest and most magnificent palace ever built. With its terraced gardens and park, it is the finest achievement of the reign of Louis XIV. DAY 10 PARIS: Morning sightseeing tour passing the Champs Elysees, Napoleon's tomb, Arc de Triumphe, Palace of Chaillot, the Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral, one of the finest Gothic Cathedrals in the World; the Sacre Coeur, a beautiful church overlooking Paris; and of course, the Eiffel Tower. Evening CONCERT. Dinner and overnight in Paris. DAY 11 PARIS: Full day at leisure to shop and browse Paris independently. Farewell dinner and overnight in Paris. DAY 12 PARIS/USA: Depart Paris on board an international airline carrier's return flight to the US.
